Generic name: Lisinopril
Zestril is used to treat high blood pressure alone or combined with certain other medicines. This medicine may be combined with other medicines to improve survival of patients after a heart attack or manage heart failure. It may also be used by your physician to treat certain other conditions.
The medicine refers to angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (ACE inhibitors). It helps blood vessels relax. This decreases high blood pressure and increases the ability of the heart to pump blood.
