Warfarin is a medicine to treat/prevent blood clots occurring in the lungs or veins. It may treat/revent blood clots caused by heart valve replacemen or atrial fibrillation (abnormal heartbeat)t. It is used to reduce the risk of heart attack (recurring), death, blood clotting following the heart attack. It may also be used by your physician to treat certain other conditions.
