Vibramycin is a medicine to treat bacterial infections. It may be combined with some medicines to treat some amoeba infections or acne. It may prevent a traveler’s malaria when visiting areas with malaria risk for 4 months or less. It is also used to slow or prevent the anthrax progression after the exposure.
It refers to tetracycline antibiotics. The medicine slows down bacterial growth. Slowing the growth of bacteria helps the body to activate defence mechanisms of the immune system and kill bacteria.
