Lisinopril is a medicine to treat high blood pressure alone or combined with certain other medicines. It may also be used to treat heart failure in tolerant to angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors patients.
It refers to angiotensin II receptor blockers. It blocks the hormone, tightening blood vessels. This relaxes (dilates) blood vessels, thus, decreasing the heart workload and lowering high blood pressure.
