Tusnel-HC is used to relieve the symptoms of sneezing, runny nose, cough, associated with colds, allergies, and infections of upper respiratory tract. It may also be used by your physician to treat certain other conditions.
It refers to expectorant, antihistamine, and cough suppressant combination. The antihistamine blocks histamine effects, which cause allergy symptoms like sneezing, and watery eyes. The cough suppressant makes the brain to reduce cough reflex and dry cough. The expectorant thins phlegm (lung mucus), so it is not so sticky and is easy to cough out. It makes cough productive and decreases congestion in the chest.
