Generic name: Tamoxifen
Soltamox is a medicine to treat spreading of breast cancer (having metastases in other body parts). It is also combined with some other medicines for the cancer treatment. It is used to reduce the risk of breast cancer in women at high risk or having DCIS (after the radiation or surgery). It may also be used by your physician to treat certain other conditions.
It refers to antiestrogens. The medicine blocks the estrogen action on tumors. This stops the tumor growth (estrogen-activated).
