Sodium Bicarbonate is a medicine to treat some drug intoxications, metabolic acidosis (when the body has excess acid), and replace bicarbonate in severe diarrhea. It may also be used by your physician to treat certain other conditions.
It refers to electrolytes. The medicine neutralizes acid in blood. It replaces bicarbonate if the body has lost it.
