S-T Forte is a medicine to treat symptoms of hay fever, cold, flu, and other upper respiratory allergies such as watery or itchy eyes, sneezing, runny nose, nose and throat itching, cough. It may also be used by your physician to treat certain other conditions.
The medicine refers to a combination of antihistamine cough suppressant (narcotic antitussive). The codeine (antitussive) suppresses the brain cough center. Thepromethazine (antihistamine) blocks histamine effects, thus reducing allergy symptoms including runny nose, itchy or watery eyes.
