Generic name: buprenorphine / naloxone
Suboxone is a medicine for opioid dependence. It is intended for the use within narcotic dependence treatment plan. It may also be used by your physician to treat certain other conditions.
It refers to narcotic (opioid) partial agonist-antagonists. It binds to receptors in nervous system and the brain to prevent the symptoms of withdrawal in patients who gave up narcotics, including oxycodone and heroin.
