Generic name: Abciximab
ReoPro is a medicine to prevent the formation of heart blood clots resulting from the opening of blocked arteries of the heart, called percutaneous coronary intervention, including stent placement, atherectomy, balloon angioplasty. It is also used in patients with severe chest pain due to heart disease (unstable angina) when planning percutaneous coronary intervention. This medicine may be combined with other medicines.
It refers to antithrombotics. It prevents the platelets (blood-clotting cells) clumping.
