Rabeprazole is a medicine to treat heartburn or esophageal irritation due to GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease). It may also be used to treat small intestine ulcers. It may be combined with certain antibiotics to treat small intestine ulcers and to prevent them from reoccurring. It is also used to treat certain conditions, causing excessive secretion of stomach acid, including Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. It may also be used by your physician to treat certain other conditions.
