Perindopril is a medicine to treat high blood pressure. It may also be used by your physician to treat certain other conditions.
The medicine refers to angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (ACE inhibitors). It blocks ACE, causing the narrowing of blood vessels and storage of sodium and fluids in the kidneys. This helps blood vessels relax, making the flow of blood more freely, increasing the ability of the heart to pump blood, and decreasing pressure.
