Oxytocin is a medicine to induce labor in women having Rh disorder, preeclampsia, diabetes, or in other conditions determined by physician. It may also abort the fetus in women with miscarriage or incomplete abortion, control bleeding after the child birth, and produce contractions at the 3-d labor stage.
