Generic name: Methoxsalen
Oxsoralen is a medicine to treat vitiligo. It is combined with controlled sunlight and ultraviolet A (UVA) doses. It may also be used by your physician to treat certain other conditions.
This medicine may be combined with light therapy. It promotes the resistance of skin to UV light. Light sensitivity may damage the skin cells during UV light treatment. Affected skin cells slow their growth and the tissue growth rate is decreased.
