Nitrogard is a medicine to prevent chest pain (angina) due to the heart disease. It may also be used by your physician to treat certain other conditions.
It refers to nitrates. This increases the blood flow and decreases the heart workload. It also decreases the amount of oxygen necessary for the heart to relieve/prevent chest pain.
