Generic name: Acetohydroxamic Acid
Lithostat is a medicine to treat urea-splitting (chronic urinary infections). It is usually combined with antibiotic medicines or surgery (in patients having stones). It may also be used by your physician to treat certain other conditions.
It refers to urease inhibitors. It decreases pH and ammonia levels in urine. This improves the antibiotic action and decreases the stone formation in kidneys.
