Limbitrol is a medicine to treat depression and anxiety (moderate to severe). It may also be used by your physician to treat certain other conditions.
It refers to benzodiazepine and tricyclic antidepressant combination. The exact mechanism of the work of tricyclic antidepressants is unknown. They improve the symptoms of depression. They may increase the serotonin, norepinephrine activity (brain chemicals), thus improving mood. The benzodiazepine makes the brain to reduce anxiety.
