Generic name: Sargramostim

Leukine is a medicine to decrease fatal, life-threatening, or severe infections following chemotherapy due to AML (acute myelogenous leukemia). It also promotes better autologous bone marrow transplant and survival increase in patients having bone marrow transplant failure. It may also be used by your physician to treat certain other conditions.

It refers to hematopoietic agents. It stimulates the neutrophil (white blood cell type) production by the bone marrow.
