Lortab is used to manage pain (moderate to moderately severe). It may also be used by your physician to treat certain other conditions.
It refers to analgesic combination. Acetaminophen decreases the brain chemical, stimulating pain nerves. Hydrocodone refers to opioid analgesics (narcotics). It binds to receptors in nervous system and the brain, used as natural relievers of pain. The combination provides better pain relief than any of these medicines taken alone.
