Januvia is a medicine to treat patients with type II diabetes when blood sugar cannot be controlled only by exercise and diet. It is combined with exercise and proper diet. It is used alone or with other antidiabetics.
It refers to DPP-4 (dipeptidyl peptidase-4) inhibitor. It helps release insulin, thus reducing blood sugar.
