Follistim is a medicine to promote multiple eggs production in ovulating women, who are trying to become pregnant under ART program (Assisted Reproductive Technology). It promotes ovulation in women having infertility problems, which are not related to ovaries failure. It may also be used by your physician to treat certain other conditions.
It refers to gonadotropin. It stimulates the body for the production of eggs by the ovaries.
