Generic name: Dantrolene
Dantrium is a medicine to treat malignant hyperthermia episodes (high body temperature, severe form). It may prevent or decrease the risk of severe form of high body temperature prior to or after anesthesia or surgery. It may also be used by your physician to treat certain other conditions.
It refers to muscle relaxants. It normalizes calcium level in the muscles, thus decreasing or preventing high body temperature (severe form).
