Capoten is a medicine to treat diabetic kidney disorders, high blood pressure or heart failure. It promotes survival and decreases heart failure in patients having had a heart attack. It may be taken alone or combined with certain other medicines. It may also be used by your physician to treat certain other conditions.
The medicine refers to angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (ACE inhibitors). It helps blood vessels relax. This decreases high blood pressure.
