Caduet is used to treat patients with high blood pressure, high cholesterol or chest pain. It may also be used by your physician to treat certain other conditions.
This medicine refers to the combination of atorvastatin (HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor) and amlodipine (calcium channel blocker). Amlodipine dilates (widens) blood vessels reducing high blood pressure and chest pain. Atorvastatin works to lower the risk of chest pain and heart attack by increasing good cholesterol, including high-density lipoprotein [HDL] and decreasing bad cholesterol, including triglycerides, in blood.
