BeneFix is used to control and prevent bleeding in patients having the deficiency of factor 9 (Christmas disease, hemophilia B), and also in surgical settings for prevention or control of bleeding.
It refers to clotting factor 9, synthetic protein. It affects the clotting factor, allowing blood clot formation to stop bleeding.
