Benadryl is used to relieve pain symptoms, sneezing, runny nose, sinus congestion, and cough associated with colds, infections of upper respiratory tract, and allergies. It may also be used by your physician to treat certain other conditions.
It refers to analgesic, decongestant and antihistamine combination. The analgesic makes the brain to reduce pain. The antihistamine blocks histamine effects, which cause allergy symptoms like sneezing, and watery eyes. The decongestant constricts blood vessels and reduces the nasal passages swelling, thus decreasing stuffiness.
