Generic name: dextromethorphan polistirex / guaifenesin
Atuss is used for short-term relief of cough associated with hay fever, cold, sore throat, sinus inflammation, bronchitis, or infections of the upper respiratory tract.
It refers to the dextromethorphan (cough suppressant) and guaifenesin (expectorant) combination. It looses lung secretions and mucus and thus making cough more productive.
