Atrovent is used to prevent and treat wheezing or difficulty breathing (bronchospasm) caused by structive pulmonary disease symptoms (COPD), such as emphysema and chronic bronchitiss. It may be taken alone or combined with certain other medicines. It may also be used by your physician to treat certain other conditions.
It refers to anticholinergics. It opens and relaxes lung air passages (bronchial tubes), making breathing easier.
