It is used to reduce the risk of stroke, heart attack, chest pain associated with blood vessel blockage or angina. It is also used for the reduction of hospitalization risk due to congestive heart failure, or necessity in medical procedures for the opening of blocked heart blood vessels. It may also be used by your physician to treat certain other conditions.
