Arestin is used to treat and prevent problems with gums after some dental procedures, including periodontitis (inflammatory gum disease). It is also used within periodontal maintenance program in periodontitis patients. It may also be used by your physician to treat certain other conditions.
It refers to tetracycline antibiotics. It decreases bacterial growth and enables their killing by the body’s immune system.
