Allegra-D is used to relieve the symptoms of seasonal allergy (runny nose, sneezing, itchy nose/throat/palate, nasal congestion, watery/red/itchy eyes).
It refers to the decongestant and antihistamine combination. The antihistamine blocks histamine effects, causing allergy symptoms like runny nose, sneezing, itchy or watery eyes. The decongestant stimulates natural response of the body and reduces the blood vessel swelling, thus nasal congestion is decreased.
