Alfuzosin is used to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia symptoms (BPH) in men having enlarged prostate.
It may also be used by your physician to treat certain other conditions.
It refers to alpha-blockers. It blocks the lower urinary tract receptors, relaxing smooth muscles in the prostate and bladder neck. This decreases the BPH symptoms and improves the flow of urine.
