Generic name: alteplase
Activase is used to treat lung blood clots and improve heart function and survival after the heart attack. The medicine is also used for the improvement of recovery and decrease of disability in patients after the stroke. It may also be used by your physician to treat certain other conditions.
It refers to tissue plasminogen activators (TPA). It helps to destroy unwanted blood clots.
