Accuhist PDX Syrup is used to relieve the symptoms of runny nose, cough, sinus congestion, sneezing, throat and airway irritation associated with colds, allergies and also infections of upper respiratory tract. It may also be used by your physician to treat certain other conditions.
It refers to the antihistamine, expectorant, cough suppressant and decongestant combination. It constricts blood vessels and reduces the nasal passages swelling, looses mucus and lung secretions and makes coughs more productive. The antihistamine blocks the histamine action, thus reducing allergic symptoms including sneezing and watery eyes. The cough suppressant makes the brain to decrease the cough reflex and reduce dry cough.
