The article explains the disorders of the gastrointestinal tract.
1. Achalasia- the muscles of lower esophageal sphincter malfunction and cannot relax relating particularly to such visceral openings as the cardia, pylorus and other sphincter muscles. Because of that condition esophagus peristaltic functioning fails thus food does not pass via the esophagus. A diet low in bulk and also an expansion of lower esophageal sphincter are treatments of the disorder.
2. Anal fistula is an abnormal tube-like duct found near the anus which connects with rectum. And an anal fissure represents a narrow cut present in the wall of the anal.
3. Colonic polyposis is represented by a number of polyps which are small growths stretching from colon mucous membrane.
4. Carcinoma of the colon might occur as a result of beef diet, that is not prepared well, and bacteria entry in the colon increases fatty acids and bile. These are cancer carcinogens. The treatment is radiation and chemotherapy.
5. Dysentery is the inflamed instestines causing serious pains. Salmonellae and amebae from the food or water consumed cause this disease.
6. Hemorrhoids (piles) occurs when varices get swollen and twisted varicose of the external veins (hemorrhoidal ones) provoking sore swelling in the rectal zone.
7. Hernia is overhanging of a structure or a part through the tissues of muscles normally containing it. Hiatal hernia is the condition when the upper part of abdomen via esophageal notch of diaphragm. Inguinal hernia is when a little bowel sphere projects via a tired place to the lower abdominal muscles which is groin.
8. Intussusception: the state of intestines generally in kids in ileocecal region. This disorder is treated with anastomosis.
9. Irritable bowel syndrome is a combination of such symptoms as constipation, diarrhea, lower abdominal pain, bloating, tension and stress. The disorder is named spastic colon. The treatment is psychotherapy to manage stress with bulk forming laxatives, antidiarrheals to alleviate the signs.
10. Ulcerative colitis is actually a chronic disease. Because of this disorder provokes ulceration in colon and rectum leading to abdominal pain, rectal bleeding, inflammatory pseudopolyps, diarrhea, mucosal crypt abscesses. In most cases anemia, electrolyte imbalance, hypoproteinemia are the symptoms, and sometimes though in lesser cases the diseases can be complicated by toxic megacolon, peritonitis and carcinoma of the colon.
