The chronic form of lymphocyte leukemia is considered to be the most common leukemia type in the US. It is a fatal disease. Unlike other cancer types when early detection of the disease can increase the chances of a patient’s recovery, the treatment with so called cytotoxic chemotherapy is extremely toxic but does not gaurantee that a patient will get over.
However there is also good news. The Journal of Clinical Oncology published a report that shows that patients suffering from the chronic form of lymphocyte leukemia in the 1 study stage, had reduced levels of lymphocyte in 33 % of patients. In suсh a way the cancer researchers detected a positive connection between well known green tea and a possible leukemia treatment.
Some epidemiological researches have indicated that green tea lowers the risk of developing cancer. Moreover prevention of tumor apparition in animals by using the tea, proved its ability to influence general cancer processes like inflammation and angiogenesis.
It is still too early to speak about green tea in pills as the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) has to approve it to be recommended and prescribed by oncologists. Taking into consideration the phase 2 and 3 studies, we are speaking about 4/5 years before such pills can be commercialized. We are not mentioning the pills’cost.
A drink with pleasant taste сonsisting of inexpensive components, green tea bought on the market could really remove all these concerns. All in all food has already proved to be the only medication people take more or less willingly at least 3 times every day.
