Zyprexa

Zyprexa refers to atypical antipsychotic drugs. The exact mechanism of its work is unknown.

It affects some chemical action in brain.

The medicine treats some psychotic conditions symptoms in adults and also in children above 10.

It may be combined with fluoxetine. The combination may be used after 2 or more medicines show no effect.

Your physician may use the medicine to treat certain other conditions not listed here.

It is not used to treat dementia conditions. It may be the cause of sudden death, pneumonia, heart failure in older adults with dementia.

It may increase your blood sugar. Its symptoms include: appetite loss, thirst, increased urination, vomiting/nausea, dry mouth/skin, drowsiness. You should regularly visit the physician in case you have diabetes.

The symptoms will improve within four weeks. Use it as prescribed. Consult the physician if you get no improvement after a month of treatment. The medicine may impair reactions or thinking. Be careful while driving.

It may cause dizziness when you change your position. Do not drink alcohol while using this medicine. Do not be dehydrated.
