Toradol refers to nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. The medicine decreases hormones responsible for pain and inflammation.
It is a short-term (less than 5 days) treatment of pain (moderate to severe) following the surgery. This medicine may be combined with other medicines.
Your physician may use the medicine to treat certain other conditions not listed here.
It may increase the risk of problems with heart/circulation. It is higher if you take Toradol continuously. It should not be used prior to or just after the heart bypass surgery.
Contact the physician in case of having weakness, chest pain, breath shortness, vision/balance problems, slurred speech.
It may also increase bleeding in your stomach or intestine. It may be fatal. gastrointestinal effects may occur any time. These risks are higher in older adults.
Contact the physician in case of serious side effects, including bloody, tarry or black stools, vomit looking like coffee grounds, blood coughing. Avoid drinking alcohol. It may cause stomach bleeding.
