Sinequan

Sinequan refers to tricyclic antidepressants. It affects brain chemicals causing depression when unbalanced.

Sinequan may treat anxiety/depression symptoms due to manic-depressive conditions, psychiatric conditions, alcoholism.

Your physician may use the medicine to treat certain other conditions not listed here.

Avoid the medicine in case of allergy to doxepin, or if you have urination problems or glaucoma. Do not combine the medicine with MAO inhibitors like isocarboxazid, phenelzine, rasagiline, selegiline, or tranylcypromine within 14 days. MAO inhibitor taken with the medicine may cause life-threatening side effects.

Suicidal thoughts may be present after the first use of the medicine, usually in patients under 24. You may need regular visits of the physician for the first twelve weeks.

Contact the physician in case of worsening of symptoms, including: anxiety, changes of mood/behavior, panic attacks, sleep problems, irritation, agitation, aggression, restlessness, hyperactivity, increased depression, suicidal thoughts.
