The medicine should be mixed with apple juice or applesauce, so the swallowing is easy. Other types of food or liquid shouldn’t be used. It may be administered through nasogastric tube together with apple juice.

Also long-term treatment affects the absorption of vitamin B-12, causing B-12 deficiency. Consult the physician in case of long-term treatment concerning B-12 deficiency.
