Proscar

Proscar is a medicine to prevent testosterone conversion into DHT (dihydrotestosterone). DHT is responsible for benign prostatic hyperplasia.

Proscar is used to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia symptoms (BPH) in men having enlarged prostate.

Your physician may use the medicine to treat certain other conditions not listed here.

Notify your physician it you are allergic to this medicine or to Avodart. Women and children shouldn’t use it. It may be absorbed through skin. Proscar may cause birth defects if used during pregnancy. Do not use it during pregnancy. In case of contact with the medicine from a tablet, which is crushed/broken, by woman the area should be washed with soap immediately. Notify the physician in case of breast pain, lumps, discharge from nipple, or other changes of breasts. It may be breast cancer signs.
