Prevacid

Prevacid works by decreasing the acid production in the stomach.

The medicine treats/prevents intestinal or stomach ulcers, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, and erosive esophagitis.

Your physician may use the medicine to treat certain other conditions not listed here.

Notify the physician if you have drug allergy, or liver disease. Your doze may need correction in certain conditions, certain tests may be conducted.

You may need to combine it with antibiotics. Use it as prescribed by the physician. Medications or dozes should not be changed prior to contacting the physician.

Avoid taking sucralfate with the medicine. It may affect the absorption of lansoprazole. Allow at least 30 minutes after you take prevacid before using sucralfate.

Prevacid should be taken the entire time length as prescribed. The medicine may relieve the symptoms before the complete treatment.

The medicine may contain phenylalanine. Notify the physician in case of having phenylketonuria.
