Plavix

Plavix prevents coagulation of thrombocytes in order to prevent unwanted blood clots due to some blood vessel/heart conditions.

It may prevent blood clots following the stroke or heart attack and also in patients having heart disorders.

Your physician may use the medicine to treat certain other conditions not listed here.

This may increase bleeding risk even if you have a minor injury. Contact the physician in case of having non-stop bleeding.

You may develop bleeding inside the body, including stomach or intestinal. Notify the physician if bloody/black stools occur, in case of blood coughing, coffee-ground vomiting. These are the signs of intestinal bleeding. Do not drink alcohol. It may increase bleeding risk.

Notify the physician prior to having dental or surgical procedures. You will need to stop taking the medicine 5 days prior to surgery in order to prevent severe bleeding.

Avoid taking aspirin or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs without first contacting the physician. NSAID drugs are ibuprofen, diclofenac, naproxen, diflunisal, flurbiprofen, etodolac, piroxicam ,indomethacin, ketorolac, ketoprofen, mefenamic acid, nabumetone, meloxicam, etc.
