Nizoral refers to antifungal antibiotics. This is a medicine to treat various fungal infections.
Your physician may use the medicine to treat certain other conditions not listed here.
Avoid the medicine in case of allergy to ketoconazole or while using triazolam.
Notify the doctor if you have heart/liver/kidney diseases, Long QT syndrome, or decreased stomach acid.
The medicine should be taken as prescribed by the physician. The medicine may relieve the symptoms before the complete treatment of infection. It is not effective against flu or cold.
Do not take stomach acid reducers or antacids 2 hours after ketoconazole use. These medications may affect the dissolution of ketoconazole tablet in the stomach.
Do not drink alcohol. This may be the cause of side effects.
