Microzide

Microzide refers to thiazide diuretics. It prevents excess salt absorption.

It may treat fluid retention in patients having liver cirrosis, kidney disorders, congestive heart failure. The medicine is effective for high blood pressure.

Your physician may use the medicine to treat certain other conditions not listed here.

Avoid the medicine in case of allergy to hydrochlorothiazide or in case of inability to urinate.

Notify the physician if you have asthma, diabetes, gout, liver/kidney disease or have allergy to sulfa drugs.

Do not drink alcohol while using this medicine.

Avoid being dehydrated or overheated. Follow the recommendations of the physician. Do not drink too much water.

It may also interact with certain medicines. Notify the doctor on any prescriptions you have, including herbal products, minerals, vitamins and drugs. Contact the doctor prior to starting a new medication. Do not stop taking it in case of improved health. High blood pressure may be symptomless.
