HydroDIURIL is a medicine to treat high blood pressure. It may also treat some conditions, when excess fluid elimination is required.
The are as follows: kidney/heart/liver diseases, estrogen and corticosteroid therapy. The medicine is taken alone or may be combined with some medications for blood pressure. It contains a diuretic (thiazide) causing the body to eliminate urine, thus decreasing blood pressure.
It must be taken regularly to be effective against high blood pressure. It may take several weeks so continue taking it even if you feel better. The medicine keeps blood pressure under control.
You may have these side effects: low blood pressure, diarrhea, abdominal cramping, dizziness when standing up, weakness, headache, appetite loss, stomach irritation/upset, low potassium (causing excess thirst, dry mouth, weak/irregular heartbeat, muscle pain/cramps).
