Flomax

Flomax refers to alpha-adrenergic blockers. The medicine relaxes arteries and veins making the flow of blood easier.

It relaxes bladder neck and prostate muscles making easy urination.

Flomax improves urination in men having enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia).

Your physician may use the medicine to treat certain other conditions not listed here.

It may cause reaction or thinking impairment Be careful while driving. It may cause dizziness when you change your position. Do not stand up quickly. Do not drink alcohol. This may cause dizziness.

Notify the doctor if you have allergy to sulfa drugs. It may cause allergy to the medicine.

The medicine may affect eye pupils while having cataract surgery. Notify the physician prior to having cataract surgery. Do not discontinue it prior to surgery unless told otherwise.

If you have painful/prolonged erection (4 or more hours) or the feeling of passing out, contact the physician.
