E-Mycin is an antibiotic that fights bacteria. The medicine treats various bacterial infections.
Your physician may use the medicine to treat certain other conditions not listed here.
It must not be used in case of allergy to it, do not combine it with terfenadine, astemizole, pimozide or cisapride. It may cause serious heart rhythm disorders.
Notify the doctor if you have myasthenia gravis or liver disease. Your doze may need correction or it may even harm you.
Swallow it whole, do not crush or chew. It has a protective coating for your stomach. These pills release medicine slowly. Stay away from artificial UV rays, avoid sunlight. The medicine makes the skin more sensitive to sunlight. Be protected (clothes, sunscreen SPF 15 and more).
Diarrhea may be caused by antibiotics and may be a new infection sign. Contact the physician in case you have bloody or watery diarrhea. Do not stop diarrhea until that.
Follow the doctor’s prescription. The medicine may relieve the symptoms before the complete treatment of infection. It is not effective against flu or cold.
