Decadron refers to steroids. Dexamethasone blocks certain body substances connected with inflammation.

Avoid the medicine in case of allergy to dexamethasone or any fugal infection.

Your treatment may require change after a serious illness, stress, infection, fever or surgery. You should contact the physician in case of having any of the above situations.
Your immune system may become weaker while taking the medicine. Avoid crowded places with sick people. Contact the physician for the preventive measures in case of exposure to measles/chickenpox. Avoid “live” vaccines while taking the medicine. Vaccines may be ineffective as well.
You should not stop taking it suddenly. Consult the physician first.
