Cytotec

Cytotec is a medicine to decrease stomach acid and replace the inhibited stomach substances caused by NSAIDs (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) and aspirin.

It prevents the ulcer formation in the stomach during taking NSAIDs or aspirin. NSAIDs and aspirin are medicines to treat fever, pain, inflammatory conditions and arthritis.

Your physician may use the medicine to treat certain other conditions not listed here.

Do not use this product if you are pregnant. In case of getting pregnant while using the medicine stop it and contact the physician. It may harm the baby. It may cause spontaneous abortion or miscarriage, premature birth and birth defects. It may be the cause of uterine rupture when used after the 8th week of pregnancy, resulting in hysterectomy, severe bleeding, maternal/fetal death. A pregnancy test is taken within two weeks of taking misoprostol. The treatment is usually started on the 2nd/3d day of menstruation. Use contraception while taking the medicine and one cycle after. It may be used upon the physician’s supervision to induce labour or abortion. Do not give the medicine to other people.
